KP is getting amazing flak which just goes to show how the spotlights go on to the England cricket team once the Ashes start up. One poor shot, in one innings, and one in the second that was the result of being hassled by an Aussie before play, unexpectedly (and sadly...)...and the English media are all over you like it's Not Just One Game. But the real point here is that the English media are doing the work of the Aussies for them - it's their role to undermine the English side, through PR, spin and (as well!) cricket. That's how they win matches; apart from their natural talent, they undermine the opposition into submission. You can call it bullying, intimidation. But now we have the media over here doing their dirty work for them! Of course, they actually started the ball rolling for the criticisms which come out of the woodwork, during the LAST Ashes. It was Buchanan the coach who tried to undermine KP by saying he wasn't a team player. Ever since then, it is something that the media keep latching on to any time there is less than a superstar performance ('yes, he's letting the side down'! why not be grateful for the good times and leave it at that???!). And it is the Aussies who started the thing about KP's supposed ego - during previous Ashes again - in another concsious attempt to undermine the opposing batsman. And guess what the media latched on to that and that is the other thing that occasionally comes up from time to time. HEY ENGLISH MEDIA! Time to wake up and stop doing what the Aussies are loving you for doing - trying to unsettle and undermine one of our own guys! Wake up and keep all said within a supportive line on the English side. That way, we might actually have a chance of winning!!
