Photo Friday: Holy man in Kathmandu

One of the many Saddhus or ‘holy men’ that can be found near the holiest Hindu place in Nepal, the Pashupatinath temple, known for their open air cremations. These holy men cover themselves with human ashes.

This week’s Photo Friday comes from Harry Kikstra, a “climber/expedition leader/ photographer/ filmmaker/ producer/ writer/ public speaker/ cycler and many other things that have to do with sharing the beauty of the outdoors. He has climbed the 7 continental high points and has traveled a lot and will not stop soon…”
Basically, Harry is a bit of a hero of mine and I’m chuffed he agreed to let me use one of his photos. Fingers crossed I can talk him into a guest post soon…!
