Photo Friday – Above the Clouds

mountrainier

Joel has this to say about his stunning photograph from Mount Rainier in the US:

“After summiting we camped in the crater rim thinking that we would leave in the morning, only to awaken to a snowstorm that kept us tent-bound for 36 hours. This was taken on descent.”

Super photo. Love the sense of scale and height that the sea of cloud gives to the shot. This view seems like fair payment for being stuck in a 36 hour snowstorm!

    Jaysus!

That’s one hell of a photo, easily worth 36 hours in a blizzard on the side of a cliff?
