The 2017 Summer Solstice Microadventure Challenge – the Winners

The 2017 Summer Solstice Microadventure Challenge led to a wonderful wave of people heading out and enjoying microadventures. If you joined in, I hope that you had a great time. Even better would be if some of these pictures inspire you now to make plans for a summer filled with microadventure…
Winners (an incredibly tenuous term, of course) have been contacted. Not all of these photos won a prize, unfortunately, but I hope that the experience was worth it all the same.
Thank you to all the companies who sponsored prizes РViewRanger, Casio, Cat, Hagl̦fs, Trail Magazine, Alpkit, BeerBods, Sidetracked, Outdoor Food.
See you out on the hills!

How fantastic to see what everyone was inspired to do! I’m new to this idea of microadventures, and I love the thought that adventures can be had all around us all the time. It really comes back to stepping a little outside your comfort zone, being able to move past frozen in the face of fear, and trusting that things will mostly sort themselves out even if you don’t know exactly what’s going to happen.
