365: a photo a day for a year. An explanation

My New Year’s resolution for 2009 was to take a photograph every single day, and to document them on Flickr.
I did this in order to improve my photography. But now, over 200 days into the challenge, I realise that the experience has taught me more than just photography.
Here is an audio slideshow that talks through the project.

You can have a look at all my 365 photos on Flickr here. Do you have any suggestions for pictures for the remainder of the year: it’s hard thinking up a photo every day?! Leave them in the comments section…

This is a really cool project and I see that it is becoming more than about photography for you. But can you make it so that the sound doesn’t automatically play? Love it though!

    • Hi Paul,
I wish I could make it so the sound did not automatically play! It is annoying… If anyone can tell me how to do this I would be grateful…

Just stunning photos – they all tell a great story, makes you think about what you were thinking and doing with each shot.

By the way, have you seen the red and white spotted covers on the trees in front of the Festival hall? I’d love to see how you would take a pic of them! is this a little challenge perhaps…? Is it too obvious a target…?? 🙂

    Hey there Alastair

Fantastic to catch a glimpse of your life this year through photos. Your experimental nature really shines in this collection – most impressive. Was it just me or was every tenth photo incorporating your feet? 🙂

BTW – I am moving to Philadelphia later this year – hopefully being a little closer to the UK we may end up meeting one day after all the email exchanges…
