A while ago I found myself in the delicious position of being in the Highlands of Scotland, armed with a hire car, bivvy bag and packraft, and with nowhere particularly to go.
The situation screamed out “Road Trip!” A quick request on Twitter and Facebook as to the Top 5 Most Beautiful Scottish Mountains came up with some real gems. You should try to check some of them out for yourselves…

Slioch from Loch Maree is stunning. Or there is Liathach rated by many hillwalkers as Scotland’s finest mountain. It strikes me the best ones are real close to each other by Torridon and over to loch Maree and the Fisherfield wilderness.
I bivvy-ed up by Liatach last week. Such a shame I was engulfed in cloud and rain! I’ll have to take your word that it’s beautiful…
