This June, escape the big smoke to enjoy an outdoor evening of talks, live music and delicious food and drinks just north of London. There’s a stellar line-up of Explorers and Olympians telling tales around the campfire, music from The Bonfire Band, craft beer, and free wood-fired pizza. Brace yourselves for a summer’s night to remember.
All proceeds go to the Transglobe Expedition Trust, a charity established in 1993 to perpetuate the memory of the Transglobe Expedition by supporting humanitarian, scientific or educational projects which follow in the expedition’s tradition of adventure and perseverance. This tradition was described by its patron HRH the Prince of Wales as “mad but marvellous”.
Tickets will definitely sell out for this within days. I wanted to alert my blog readers ASAP so that you both have time to snaffle a ticket before they are all gone.

I know that this is quite an expensive event, but it is for a worthwhile charity and having the chance to hear Ranulph Fiennes speak of his life is worth the money on its own. Plus you can try to eat your weight in pizza too.
Hmmmm. Well you get one free pizza actually. So unless you weigh less than a wood-fired pizza we might not be able to let you try and eat your weight in pizza. 🙂
Thanks for this Al x
How big is the pizza…? Important details.
As a man who’s lived off banana sandwiches for months on end – you’ll cope. Big enough! From these guys http://www.pizza-party.co.uk
