Walking across a desert hauling an enormous and ludicrous cart was the easy part.
Turning the story into a film to be proud of was far more work, and much more difficult.
But Leon and I are really pleased with the result. Our first ever film, Into the Empty Quarter, has been well-received in film festivals and has sold well as a DVD and a download.
It has now been watched in most countries on Earth.
Now we want to go global
Now we want to go global – to get our film into every country on the planet.
This is partly because I’md get a sad little kick, sitting all alone in my shed, to see that map above turn blue. But I have also loved receiving emails from people who were inspired by our film showing that two patently “ordinary people” could get out and have an exciting adventure. I’md be delighted if people in more countries could see that.
And, finally, Leon and I were the recipients of so many random acts of kindness on our journey. This is a fun way for us to do be able to something nice for strangers too.
Do you have a friend in any of the countries where the film has not yet been watched (the grey ones above)? If so, send us their email address and we will send a copy of the film to them -for free- as a small present from you and from us.
It’s as simple as that.
Cheers!
I got this after microadventure pre-order giveaway and I really enjoyed it. None of the look at me antics of TV dorks like Bear Grylls. Felt more like an extraordinary adventure made by two very relatable blokes. Nice one Alastair!
Thanks, Kate!
