Microadventure: The London Series

Well, this is blooming marvellous…

From June – September 2014, a group of over 60 London dwellers took part in the London Series Microadventure challenge.

Once a week we escaped our desk jobs to sleep out in one of the six counties surrounding Greater London. We made the most of the long evenings, slept under the stars and were woken by stellar sunrises. And in the process we discovered that it’s really not that hard to escape the city after all.

When I began banging on about microadventures, something like this would have been beyond my wildest dreams. I’mm so, so thrilled to see this brilliant summer of microadventure by Anna McNuff.

If you like this video, have a look at Anna’s website.

Here are some other ideas for microadventures close to London.

And if you haven’t yet tried a microadventure for yourself, then may I gently suggest that this book would be a blooming good start point…

Hi, if you have not, see George Monbiots fantastic work ‘Feral’ on the subject. Very inspiring, as is this blog!

      Thanks! I loved Feral.
See also, though, James Rebank’s book on being a shepherd. Also inspiring, though very opposing to Monbiot’s treatise.
