I wanted to explode some excuses with my year of microadventure. Here’s a few of them:
- You need a lot of time for adventures
- You need a lot of skill to be able to do them
- You need a lot of money
- You need sunshine
- You need to have great ideas for your quests to be worthwhile
I hope this video will answer some of these lazy excuses…
You and your wild swimming!!! I found myself grinning all the way through the video. Great stuff.
My thoughts precisely, hehe!
Don’t take this the wrong way (I think you’re amazing) but that looks like an utterly misearble way to spend your free time. Rather you than me.
“I don’t want to sleep up here, it’s going to be miserable”. Quite.
You’re a wiser man than me!
What would people be doing otherwise? “Sitting in their houses, watching people sitting in their houses” – Billy Connolly.
Well done, marra – you’ve inspired me, at least – although I was on the microadventure path anyway!
I think it looks beautiful! As someone who grew up in the desert (Phoenix Arizona) where we only get a few weeks of rain each year, I love seeing the beautiful rainy, misty landscape. People here are commenting that it looks miserable, but to me its all in how you look at it. I did an all day hike through the rainforest in New Zealand on a rainy day; and the forest with the mist clinging over it was so enchanting, I wouldn’t have traded it for a sunny day even though I was wet and cold the whole time. Forget waiting for the sun, enjoy the beauty of the rain!
