Into The Empty Quarter, the film Leon and I made last year as we walked 1000 miles across the Arabian Peninsula, is being premiered at the Thrillseekers Adventure Film Festival. We are delighted that a special “festival cut” [20 minutes] will be on tour all around the country.
If you live in these cities, please do go along and let us know if it’s any good!
Tickets for the Thrillseekers Adventure Film Festival 2013 are on sale here.
For everyone else, the full version of the film will be available in a month or so from now. I’mm really looking forward to it. I hope it is worth the wait!
Tickets bought! See you there Al, very excited about your film but well paired up with the other films…
Cheers, Damian!
Hopefully I will be at the London West End event.
Which one are you going to?
These all look awesome!
I enjoyed that 2 of your 3 clips were purely amusing (toilet seat and sand angel). Proof you shouldn’t take adventure too seriously 🙂
Ha! I couldn’t quite match the others for epic-ness!
Hi Al, I have seen “Into The Empty Quarter” yesterday in Edinburgh and it has been a huge inspiration again! Maybe the most comprehensive film of the festival. I think the two of you covered pretty much all facets of adventure. So not only euphoria and the achievement itself but as well the mishaps, doubts and questions, creating sort of a “desert inside” in certain situations. The film traced very well how it has been you guys taking the adventure but also how adventure took you. I also really liked your approach, seeking experience rather than event and showing a decent humbleness when it comes to place, people and moments. In the end it is people who actually form a place or moments and it is place and moments which form us…
Enjoy the gala night in London and best wishes for all Macro- and Microadventures which may pave the way ahead of you!
Thank you, Oliver!
Btw Al, here is a wee write-up of programme 3 of the AFF . Hope you like it…
