There are only 100 days to go until the end of 2009. How has the year treated you? How have you treated the year?
By now you may well be tired, jaded, over-busy, and your New Year’s resolution seems but a distant, ragged memory.
Or your year may have been just fine, but maybe there is a tendency to start looking forward to January for the next New Start. Next year I will learn the piano, visit my granny more, stop smoking…
I value New Years’ resolutions (and also mid-year resolutions), but I don’t think we should wait until January 1 to get started. Today there are only 100 days left in the year. So let’s all make an End of Year Resolution today! No more procrastinating! Freshen up the end of the year and start something new today. Plus, on the bright side, you only need to stick to it for 100 days!
What do you think of my idea? What do you plan to do for the last 100 days of the year?
Lead by example! What’s YOUR End of Year Resolution?
Ha! Good challenge Neil! My resolution: to finish my book on India…
Not just the year: only 100 days left of this decade! (via @mudandgears)
wow Mike, that is really raising the bar!
Hey Al
I like the idea and you are spurring me into action (again!)!
I set a very girly and unoriginal target when I came back from holiday. (Somehow in a plane not being in any particular country is liberating and the world is your oyster!) I have always been a little on the heavy side so I decided that enough is enough and I would get to my ideal weight and shape! Heck I have really never done it so there is an adventuring first for me! ha ha!! Its been a month and (I think!) doing well. Your post is refreshing my perspective so I will be more energetic and focused again! 100 days and then I’m done, right?!
Thanks and now I can’t escape as I have shared it publicly!!
By the by; I went to a design forum yesterday and one of the points I took away and I think you may like was:
“Don’t fight it, just do it better.”
Elina
Good for you, Elina! You’ll have earned a good Christmas dinner by then!
