  1. “Lost City of the Monkey God” by Douglas Preston (2017) left the others in the dust so do try it. Once read, you will find you cannot get it out of your mind. Also the book “River of Doubt” which is Teddy Roosevelt’s rather chilling trip down the Amazon in another time – stays with you!
