Going Beyond: Journeys of Exploration

If you are anywhere near Bristol, this event will be well worth attending in February.

Going Beyond: Journeys of Exploration features speakers Paul Rose, Jon Gupta and Martin Hartley, in aid of the Mitchemp Trust.

Seasoned explorers share their adventures to our planet’s ocean depths, atop its highest peaks and across its frozen poles. Hear Paul Rose, of the BBC’s Oceans, on the inspiration behind his 6,000 dives; Jon Gupta, high-altitude adventurer, on his global ascents; and Martin Hartley, polar photographer and Time Magazine “Hero of the Environment”, on capturing the world”s extremes. Our panel of experts re-live their experiences and take you on a journey beyond boundaries.

Jon has some great mountains under his belt. I bumped into Paul Rose on the Greenland ice cap last year and he gave a great talk at a recent Night of Adventure. And Martin Hartley has an awesome CV of polar expeditions as well as being a fabulous photographer. It should be a good evening.
