Ideas for my next trip

Last week I showed a map of the world which I have been using to help me dream up the next plan while Ben focuses on his solo projects.
Here are some ideas I’mm contemplating at the moment:

Getting into climbing
Sea-kayaking
Husky racing
A camel journey
Navigating a long river
the Race across America
another walk
some more Microadventures

I’mm keeping my cards close to my chest on the finer details, for now, as I’mm aware that talk is cheap, and nothing counts until it’s in action. But I’mm excited at the prospect of turning my hand to something new, in an area of the world I have never experienced.

  1. I would put my vote on “Getting into climbing” if you are referring to alpine climbing. This is great stuff and would also be beneficial to you with regards to SOUTH since you will learn glacier travel, crevasse rescue, rope handling and so on.. Also the physical/mental aspect of alpine climbing is great. Many great challenges out there related to alpine climbing.

  2. If you want to write for newspaper and magazine, you have to plan your journey mainly for this purpose. Not necesarly long, i suppose. 2 or 3 month should be much enough.
maybe travelling not only for you, keeping in mind what reader and newspaper like to read and sell.
Good luck, i will follow your next adventure.

Sea-kayaking please! Sounds too hard work for me but I’d enjoy reading about you doing it! LOL!
