Adventure is as Easy as This

Leave work.

Meet up with friends.

Head out of town.

Watch the sunset.

Sleep under the stars.

Swim in a river (snakes optional).

Head back to work.

Why don’t you try this yourself during this summer solstice week? I’ve got some great prizes as an incentive for you to try something cool and share your story. Details here.

It was wonderful to do this trip with Kammok and Chris. This was my first microadventure sleeping in a hammock, and I am a total convert. They are brilliant.

  1. I love the idea of a hammock adventure – do you know of anywhere in the UK you can get a Kammock? I looked into ordering one from US but the postage was $100 – same price as the product!

  2. Consider also the Hennessy Hammock. I’ve been using the Deep Jungle model since last autumn and absolutely love it. They distribute direct in the UK.

  3. Brilliant video, brilliant topic! I absolutely prefer a hammock to cuddling with ants 😉 (not just because of the ants 😉 ) For example . 😉

  4. Tom,
We don’t have distribution in the UK yet, and we are working of an alternative shipping solution for international customers. If you know of any amazing outdoor gear stores in the UK please shoot me an email at [email protected] we would love to talk to them! We have a store in Germany, “Gestalten Pavilion Store and Cafe” here is their email [email protected] I am sure that shipping will be a lot cheaper. Thanks for the comment, I can assure you we are working on it! We would love to see our hammock covering all of the UK! Ty

    • Thanks Ty, I contacted Gestalten and am now the happy owner of a Roo Kammok. Their service was excellent.

  6. Another nice micro adventure some weeks ago: we drove to the forest after work, set up a portaledge in a 40m high beech tree, drank some beers while we watched the sunset, fell asleep, woke up with the sound of birds and then back to work.

  7. I love the simplicity of your post. I can’t believe I still haven’t had my first camping micro adventure.
